Deleting your account
YeKarlo Family · app package com.yekarlo.family · last updated 3 September 2026
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app:
More → Delete my account
The app shows you exactly what will happen before you confirm it.
If you are a child
You have no account to delete — you never made one. Ask a parent to remove you from the family, which takes them a few seconds and takes your name off everything.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Write to naveenvichaar@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with "Delete my account" as the subject. We will confirm within 30 days.
A parent may make this request for their child.
What is deleted
- Your name, your email address, and your mobile number if you signed in with one. The number is freed, so you can use it again if you ever come back.
- Your sign-in. The link to your Google account is removed, so signing in again afterwards creates a new, unconnected account rather than bringing this one back.
- Every session, on every device, immediately.
- Your membership of every family, so you no longer appear in them and can no longer see them.
- Any join codes you created that nobody has used yet.
- Any open request of yours to cash credits in.
If you paid the one-time membership fee, that purchase is Google's record, not ours, and deleting your account here does not touch it or refund it. See Google Play's own refund policy if that is what you need.
What is kept, and why
Entries in a family's ledger stay, without your name on them.
This is not a loophole, and it is worth being plain about. The ledger is double-entry: a chore you did and were paid for is also the record of what left the family budget that week, which is your family's proof of what everyone else earned. Deleting those rows would not erase your data, it would falsify theirs.
So the rows survive, attached to a record with no name, no email address, and no way to sign in. Nobody can tell it was you, and nobody can sign in as you.
One thing that can stop it
If you are the only parent in a family that still has other people in it, the app will not let you delete your account yet. Doing so would leave children with chores nobody can approve and a balance nobody can pay out.
Add another parent, or remove the other members first. Then delete.
